SKIN79: Super BB Cream in Gold

Here's another cute BB cream, cute as in little. And it is GOLD so it kinda reminds me of jewelry and royalty. Woot! That sounded like a song. Anyway, I got this from the instagram account of femmerepublic. Which practically managed by my batchmate in med school. So I do hope you follow their account for lots of beauty products from Etude, Skinfood, Missha, Skin79, Tony Moly, The Face Shop, Peri Pera, 3CE and many more.

Look at that girl. She looks totally like a rocker chic. This product is part of the VIP Gold Collection of Skin79. Let's just get down to business shall we?

GARNIER: BB Eye Roll-On

I already tried Garnier Eye roll-on which helps reduce fine lines and underye darkness. I have used it last year and I had provided me with comfort everytime I glide it under my eye. I just learned about the Garnier BB Eye Roll-on juste because of the beauty gurus in youtube have been using them. So last year, I was thinking of buying one but I ended up not purchasing it because I think it's a bit pricey for me (249php). At last, I got one this year!

Ok let's talk about this more (why it has been talk of the town and talk of most of the youtube beauty gurus in the past year) after the break.

AVON: Simply Pretty BB Cream

I have known Avon ladies from all over the Philippines and I am sure there are also Avon ladies around the globe. Considering the fact that there are international artists that endorse Avon products. I remember the first few things my mom got me from Avon is a lipstick and an eye liner. She have been using Avon products even before she got me those. Oops, that's a long intro. I'm sorry, moving on.

This is the AVON: Simply Pretty BB Cream. They have a wide range of make-up products. And this is the first time they released a BB cream. Well maybe because more and more Filipinas enjoy BB cream because it gives natural coverage with skin care benefits.

SKIN79: Super BB in Pink

POND'S Flawless White BB Cream

I love Ponds, I have been using it since I started being conscious about my skin care routine. So that'll be around 5th or 6th grade, because that's the time I started having acne. The products I typically use under this name are facial wash and face cream. And now that they have released a BB cream, I just can't wait to try it.

This is the Pond's Flawless White BB Cream in Light. They already released BEIGE color so that'll suit more Filipina or morena beauties out there!

COLOUR COLLECTION Gluta Whitening BB cream

BB cream, if it is a BB cream, I'm sure I'll love it. I'm totally obsessed with trying out a lot of BB creams out there. Not just because for the foundation life function but also because I love that it has SPF and a moisturizer in one. If you can remember, I have won COM for March from The Beauty Junkee blog. I have tried a few BB creams already and I have been loving their effects on my skin. Besides the fact that they are indeed tinted moisturizers, they have SPF that protects the skin from the damaging sun rays. Oops, that was way outta line I think? Back to the product.

Did you know that SNOE is a Pinoy brand? Oh yes it is. Just click the name and it will direct you to their facebook page. See how they started and is now booming in the beauty retail industry. As I have told you, if it's a BB cream, I'll definitely love it. And now here's something worth trying.

SNOE BBfied HD-BB Pigment Mix in X2-Marble. The color is indicated for Light colored skin with yellow undertones. This product comes in a 10ml container. 

CELETEQUE Multi-benefit BB Cream

As I have told you that I had finished a whole tube of my past BB cream (which I really love), I thought that I should try a new one. So here I was looking around the drug store, I found Celeteque having one of the best names in skin care having their very own BB cream. I don't know what to expect because this is the first time I'm going to try this brand. Anyway, so I tried it and here's what I have to say.

It comes in a 30ml tube that costs less than 300pesos. It can be bought at any drugstore in malls nearest you. It can be applied as a moisturizer solely or as a make up base. It has a yellow undertone which is great for most Filipino skin types.

And because I frequently used Encara BB cream, I already hit the pan. The tube I got May 2012 is now empty. And I guess that'll be my last one. Why? It is because I wanted to try different types of BB cream. I just love BB cream, not only it works as a foundation which evens out skin tone and covers up blemishes, it also works as a health cream which is beneficial to your skin. I have always loved Skin79 BB cream because it hasn't failed me in anyway. It covers excellently and I love how it blends really great on my skin. If you haven't seen my previous post about this HERE IS THE LINK. I really love it and this post will be about photos proving how it works for hours in keeping me looking fresh & smooth.

This is the first application and it's around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I set it with my Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Cake Powder.

I have always wanted to have this BB cream in a tube ever since I've tried the one on the sachet. When I learned that The Face Shop opened it's branch at SM Dasmarinas, I decided to save up for a tube of this product. Ok enough of that intro, Let's get on with the product! ;)

Face of the Day: Create a V

I don't know if most of you have notice but I don't usually go for a dark / smokey eyes. Maybe because I'm not that comfortable with the dark? That doesn't sound good. Let's just say I have not mastered how to create smokey eyes. If you have any tips, let me know! I want to learn a thing or two. I was going out to attend KRAVE 1st anniversary event and I decided to just go with a smooth finish & simple make up.

I've been loving the Maybelline New York Clear Smooth BB cream. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and I've loved it ever since. I always had the 01 fresh. It stands up to its name Blemish Balm.   The package comes in a small tube with a nozzle so you'll be able to control the amount of product you'll dispense.

What it does is:
*Brighthens skin like you just had a glowing foundation
*Evens out skin tone
*Smoothes face
*Refines lines for that younger skin
*Clears and Conceals for that flawless look
*Moisturizes so your skin becomes hydrated
*Protects skin with the help of SPF 26
It blends perfectly on my skin. I love it so much because it really evens out the skin tone and instantly lightens the skin without the overdone look. Here's how the product look like and how it its blended out. Look how it perfectly lightens my skin without being noticeably literally white.

See? What's not to love about this product. I haven't tried other BB cream so this one is still my favorite. You should try it. It is available in Watsons in any SM mall branches. It costs around 200pesos and it is all worth it. ;)

THE FACE SHOP: Power Perfection BB Cream

Yesterday I was at Ortigas for work and decided to go around the place after. At St. Francis Square there is a stall where korean cosmetics are being sold so I took a quick look. Suddenly the lady told me to try out the BB cream on my hand and explained a lot of things about it like this cream can be used as a foundation, it hydrates the skin, it also protects the face because it has SPF, it blends well and the best part is it smells good. When she placed a drop of BB cream on my hand, she quickly blended it and asked me to smell it. It smells really good, but I don't have enough money to buy that kind of product. Good thing they had a tester size for 17pesos. I bought one for myself and decided it to try it next morning.

Here's a shot of the product before I applied it to my face.

I applied it over a moisturizer and it doesn't feel heavy at all. It feels very light, gives light to medium coverage and it blends well with my skin. After the BB cream, I had a little powder and TA-DA! My dark spots are lessened, my pore size seemed to be smaller and my skin tone is even! I mean, C'mon! Who wouldn't want that?! (Pardon the right cheek, there's still a bit swelling there. So I'm awkwardly smiling here) Here's the finish look!

I will save up for this product. You should also try it, they have a tester size. And I think you will also love it as much as I do. <3

Face of the Day: Pink Hue

If you can notice everything about my blog, it's PINK. I love pink! And almost everything I own have a hint of pink. But I seldom use pink as an eyeshadow color since I think it's quite bold for me. Well anyway, since I was inspired by the P500 Make up Challenge done by Ana Victorino I decided to try it. It's not as perfect as hers but I tried using the same colors.

Face of the Day: Hide those Eyebags

Pardon the same shirt of this picture. I am currently loving this shirt that's why I keep on wearing this whenever we go to Tagaytay. It's actually a long sleeves cotton shirt which keeps me comfortable in cold weather. Anyway, let's move on with my face of the day. KC and I spent a night at Agatha's house just to get ready for the hellweek. And before going home, we decided to have a swap review of our BB creams. Agatha's older sister, ate Cindy allowed us to try the Skin79 BB cream she had. She told us that she doesn't like it because it is way too dark for her skin. On my skin, it just sits on fairly. Here's a shot of the tube.

Weeks with Encara BB Cream

Abie, a friend of mine asked me to have review about Encara BB cream so I did. It suits me well and I love it. She then asked me to try it for a week and inform her if I had some allergic reaction or breakouts during the first week of using the Encara BB cream. But I had good results for you girls, this is my face a week using the BB cream.

I don't know if you'll notice in this picture but:
*my skin tone lightened
*face, evened out & hydrated
*dark spots on the chin, barely visible
*less visible pores
*NO BREAKOUTS!!!
This is my skin's reaction to the Encara BB cream, I'm an oily type and I have my trusted skin care routine. I BELIEVE: tinted moisturizers are better

I believe tinted moisturizers are better. Why? Tinted moisturizers seeps through your skin. That's why it's called moisturizers, they let the ingredients work on your skin. Liquid foundation on the other hand, just sits on your skin and your skin doesn't absorb it like tinted moisturizers do.


And because tinted moisturizers are absorbed in your skin, they can be a part of your morning routine after you cleanse your face. Most of these have a whitening effect and has SPF which protects your skin from the sun. Exposure to too much sunlight can cause age spots, wrinkles and skin damage. You don't want to look older than your age right?

Most popular tinted moisturizers are BB creams, and they've been a craze all over the world. It's because they can be a great substitute for liquid foundation. They can provide sheer to heavy coverage once you build them up. I've tried 3 of those, here are some:
