AVON: Simply Pretty BB Cream

I have known Avon ladies from all over the Philippines and I am sure there are also Avon ladies around the globe. Considering the fact that there are international artists that endorse Avon products. I remember the first few things my mom got me from Avon is a lipstick and an eye liner. She have been using Avon products even before she got me those. Oops, that's a long intro. I'm sorry, moving on.
This is the AVON: Simply Pretty BB Cream. They have a wide range of make-up products. And this is the first time they released a BB cream. Well maybe because more and more Filipinas enjoy BB cream because it gives natural coverage with skin care benefits.

Face of the Day: Create a V

I don't know if most of you have notice but I don't usually go for a dark / smokey eyes. Maybe because I'm not that comfortable with the dark? That doesn't sound good. Let's just say I have not mastered how to create smokey eyes. If you have any tips, let me know! I want to learn a thing or two. I was going out to attend KRAVE 1st anniversary event and I decided to just go with a smooth finish & simple make up.

AVON Smooth Minerals Blush in Blushed

I decided to ask mom to borrow our neighbor's avon brochure just to look at some products, mom agreed because she also needs to buy some deodorants. I scanned through the pages and saw a gorgeous color of blush. The Smooth Minerals Blush by Avon for me it's like a a blush and bronzer in one. The one I got is Blushed, there is also Radiance and Blushing Mauve available as other choices. I'm quite glad that I saw this, because it is just 199pesos for a 2.5g. Let's start with the package, it's just a normal flat container usually for powder or blush. The thing about it is that it doesn't even have a sponge in it. I mean the sponge will occlude the loose powder, if there's no sponge the powder will just dispense itself and will create a mess if I opened it again. I borrowed from my mom a small sponge just to prevent the mess if ever. Here's a shot of the package.

The product's color like I said is like a blush and contour at the same time, brownish-dark orange like type. I love it because it has little shimmer to it when you have blended it to your skin. It doesn't feel heavy, I looked like I literally blushed and I didn't itch. Well I guess it stands true to its name "Smooth Minerals." Here's the powder on my hand.
Pardon me because I don't have a picture of it blended out because I can't get the right angle to show the effect of the blush on my skin. Here's the closest picture I've got. My cheeks just looked a bit edged than usual, so I guess the product did its job. ;)
I would definitely buy another one of this. It is a really good product, I'm glad it's not that much expensive. I love Avon, thank you for this product! <3

Face of the Day: Less Colors

I always wanted to have dramatic eyes or if I don't go for dramatic eyes, I go for bold lips. Sorry, I just love doing it. It becomes a hobby. I like colors, it makes me feel good and active. If that makes sense. Anyway, here's a look that I didn't put too much color on.
EYES:
Ellana eyeshadow in Pink Pearl on lids & inner corners
AVON eyeshadow duo in Rust on crease area
Maybelline Hypersharp Liner on upper lashline

FACE:
Clean & Clear Pressed powder in Natural

Face of the Day: Nude Lips

This look was sponsored by Ate Cindy's birthday gift for me. She's the elder sister of Agatha. Agatha also got the same palette I have. Hers is leaning more on the neutral side while mine is more likely to be used for the Smokey eyes effect. Anyway, let's move on to what I came up with the gift.
Oh yes, I am awkwardly smiling in this shot yet again. Why can't I just have a  nice and happy smile where it doesn't look weird?

Face of the Day: Hide those Eyebags

Pardon the same shirt of this picture. I am currently loving this shirt that's why I keep on wearing this whenever we go to Tagaytay. It's actually a long sleeves cotton shirt which keeps me comfortable in cold weather. Anyway, let's move on with my face of the day. There isn't much about this look, but I don't know if you could see. the colors I used are quite showy.

Clean & Clear pressed powder in Natural
ELF All Over Cover stick in Honey
ELF All Over Color stick in Pink Champagne

AVON Simply Pretty Big Eye Pencil (as primer)

HENGFANG Volume Glamour Mascara

LIPS:
MAYBELLINE Lip balm

Face of the Day: Foundation Routine

And because I'm totally in love with this MAYBELLINE Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation, I decided to use it with a foundation brush. No regrets, I love how it looked on me. Not only it looked flawless but it also decreased the visibility of pores which is a huge problem for me. And now I appreciate how it these things work.
EYES:
Pearl pink eyeshadow cream as base
Gold eyeshadow on lids
Rust colored eyeshadow on crease
Black eyeliner with a wing
Navy blue eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner

Any color of lipstick would do but since I like to keep it fresh, I just settled on a pale pink shade from Avon. Not much on the blush, I just used ELF all over color stick in pink champagne just to have a slight color on my cheeks. Anyway, that's practically it. I wonder if I would still do some face of the day. Maybe I'll just post the pictures and rite about the things I used. Till next time, thank you for reading. ;))

AVON Glimmerstick Eyeliner

The Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner is like a gel type liner that smoothly glides on your eyelids. It can be placed just as is or it can be smudged for a smokey eye effect. I had this when I was in nursing because it's very easy to use. I stopped using this because it's 100 plus pesos that day and I can't afford to have that one, so instead I usually buy the pencil eyeliner that I see in our neighborhood and it only costs 10pesos. For 4years now, I have nothing against my 10pesos eyeliner pencil. Anyway, let's get it on with this Avon thingy.
This cost me 119pesos because it's on sale when my mom bought it for me. I decided to try this again after a few years because I see many bloggers using high end eyeliners like this (gel like, pen type.) Stila has one like this. Anyway, these types of eyeliners are used to line the tightline and the water line of your eyes.

OOTD : Pink shirt & red lips

We're waiting a call from my uncle what time he'll be arriving at the airport from  Norway so I decided to prepare in case he'll arrive in a couple of hours. I used the Power Perfection BB cream sample from The Face Shop that I bought at Ortigas and here's how it turned out.
I don't know if I did that good but I felt it's just enough for a daytime look. After having my moisturizer, I had my ELF all over cover stick just to conceal some blemishes then I applied the BB cream and set it with my Clean and Clear Pressed Powder in Natural. I love this pressed powder and I've been using it for years now because it helps control my oilyness and it hadn't given me any breakout since then. After the Powder I proceeded with the make up.
This is the first time I used a slanted brush and a black eyeshadow to create a wing effect as my liner. Actually, I'm not used to having a winged liner because I always don't get them look similar. White eyeshadow on the lids and brown eyeshadow on the crease using my Fashion21 eyeshadow brushes and that's it. These days I always use my HengFang Mascara, I love how it volumizes my lashes because I have very fine lashes. I wonder if it shows in the pictures but I did use a blush from Avon Smooth Minerals and highlighter from Miners. After that, I used red lipstick just to complete the look. Tell me how I did here? Ok lang ba? ;)

"Mom please let me try a bit make up on you"

It's a monday and we don't have anything to do around here so I asked mom for like a thousand times if I could do her make up. I told her it would be so dramatic because she kept on refusing me. Maybe because whenever I do my make up even when I just stay at home, I go over the edge and look like I'm going to a costume party. Anyway what I just used are:
*ELF All over cover stick (face)
*Ever Bilena Advance Foundation Stick in Creme (face)
*Careline Pressed Powder in Natural (face)
*Avon Pink Blush (cheeks)
*Ever Bilena Precision Blender (eyebrows & eyes)
*Avon Simply Pretty in Lucky Orange

That's it, she won't let me do anything else. She even told me that when she wears lipstick, she doesn't swipe it like I did, she just dabs it on her lips. On her eyes, I have no idea what I'm going to do because she has hooded lids and whenever I tried to put on color it becomes hidden when she opens her eyes. She keeps saying "Tama na kaya, sobra na nilagay mo." (enough, you've already placed too much.) Which is I haven't even done so much on everything. I love you MAMY! Maybe next time you'll agree to what I'm going to do and stop asking me to stop. Here's the before and after, nothing much actually. ;P
