BRUSHES: ELF and Fashion21

These brushes are one of the first eyeshadow brushes I had. I love these one because I think they're all I ever need for eyeshadow application. Another thing is that these brushes are so soft it glides smoothly on your eyelids. I also love the long handles which makes it easier for me to grip them.
I got a large Fashion21 eyeshadow brush which I use for eyeshadow color all over my lids. I use the mini Fashion21 eyeshadow brush for crease color, which definitely applies the color and blends it thoroughly. I also have the ELF professional Blending Eyebrush is somewhat like a pencil brush which I use for blending out the colors just to avoid the harsh lines on my lids.
I love these brushes and I use them everytime I put eyeshadow on. I bought the Fashion21 brushes for less than 100pesos, and the ELF brush for 129pesos. These are great quality brushes for affordable prices, I found them at Watsons in SM Megamall. You should try them out! ;)

Face of the Day: Less Colors

I always wanted to have dramatic eyes or if I don't go for dramatic eyes, I go for bold lips. Sorry, I just love doing it. It becomes a hobby. I like colors, it makes me feel good and active. If that makes sense. Anyway, here's a look that I didn't put too much color on.
EYES:
Ellana eyeshadow in Pink Pearl on lids & inner corners
AVON eyeshadow duo in Rust on crease area
Maybelline Hypersharp Liner on upper lashline

FACE:
Clean & Clear Pressed powder in Natural

Face of the Day: Hide those Eyebags

Pardon the same shirt of this picture. I am currently loving this shirt that's why I keep on wearing this whenever we go to Tagaytay. It's actually a long sleeves cotton shirt which keeps me comfortable in cold weather. Anyway, let's move on with my face of the day. There isn't much about this look, but I don't know if you could see. the colors I used are quite showy.
FACE:
ENCARA BB Cream
Clean & Clear pressed powder in Natural
ELF All Over Cover stick in Honey
ELF All Over Color stick in Pink Champagne

EYES:
BENEFIT Eye Bright (para sa eyebags)
AVON Simply Pretty Big Eye Pencil (as primer)
Nude Eyeshadow on inner corners and lids
Bright Pink on outer corners
Orange on crease area
MAYBELLINE Hypersharp Eyeliner
HENGFANG Volume Glamour Mascara

LIPS:
MAYBELLINE Lip balm
MAYBELLINE Water Shine Lipstick

Actually, I had it more detailed in this post just because I have time to do this. Last time, I was thinking of our upcoming evaluation exam. Anyway, Thank you for reading and let me see you try colors like this. Till next time! ;)

Face of the Day: Foundation Routine

And because I'm totally in love with this MAYBELLINE Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation, I decided to use it with a foundation brush. No regrets, I love how it looked on me. Not only it looked flawless but it also decreased the visibility of pores which is a huge problem for me. And now I appreciate how it these things work.
EYES:
Pearl pink eyeshadow cream as base
Gold eyeshadow on lids
Rust colored eyeshadow on crease
Black eyeliner with a wing
Navy blue eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner

Any color of lipstick would do but since I like to keep it fresh, I just settled on a pale pink shade from Avon. Not much on the blush, I just used ELF all over color stick in pink champagne just to have a slight color on my cheeks. Anyway, that's practically it. I wonder if I would still do some face of the day. Maybe I'll just post the pictures and rite about the things I used. Till next time, thank you for reading. ;))

ELF All over Color stick

Thank you KC for telling me that Robinsons Imus has a section of ELF in their Department store. As you all have known, I have been loving ELF ever since I've discovered them at SM Megamall. It's because that they are affordable even if they are a brand from abroad. Besides they have a wide selection of products to choose from. The latest one I've got is the ELF All Over Color Stick in Pink Champagne.

Clean your Brushes

I always clean my brushes every other day because this helps me prevent breakouts. Besides, it's hygenic to clean your brushes. For my face bruhes, I have a pair of powder brush, stippling brush and blush brush. I have them in pairs so whenever I wash a set, I still have another set to be used while I wait for the other brushes to dry up. This shot shows only 1 set.
Reasons why you need to clean your brushes regularly...

Food trip - Robinsons Sale

Since we had a half day Saturday classes, KC and I decided to go to DLSU-Dasma. Kent and Jeff accompanied us because they don't have anything to do.    Oops, birthday gelz on the go! ;)
And there's more because we love food, we decided to have our lunch at the Square canteen. It's been 5 years since the last time I had something to eat from Square canteen and we ended up at Oven maid. Look at the gelz searching for a food they might like.

Propofol Knockout

Propofol, an anaesthetic drug. We used this drug to cause drowsiness or loss of activity to a rabbit. We had an experiment in Pharmacology where we need to administer Propofol using different routes each group to a rabbit. We were assigned to Intravenous and we used the marginal veins on the rabbit's ear to administer the drug. After 7 seconds, it became drowsy with no righting reflex (inability to get up from lying down). After 12 minutes he regained his activeness.
Oh well, I'm just sharing you our experiment because when we had a class discussion about it. I fell asleep and my seatmate Jay took a picture of me. May I just point out that I love my eye make up that time! Using the ELF smokey eye palette, I tried the instant smokey eyes from gossmakeupartist in Youtube. You should also try it, it's insanely easy! Here's a link of the video.
Please subscribe to Wayne because he's giving away free make up and a dozen of make up tips, I'm pretty sure you'll love him. I'll be talking to you next time. ;)

OOTD : Pink shirt & red lips

We're waiting a call from my uncle what time he'll be arriving at the airport from  Norway so I decided to prepare in case he'll arrive in a couple of hours. I used the Power Perfection BB cream sample from The Face Shop that I bought at Ortigas and here's how it turned out.
I don't know if I did that good but I felt it's just enough for a daytime look. After having my moisturizer, I had my ELF all over cover stick just to conceal some blemishes then I applied the BB cream and set it with my Clean and Clear Pressed Powder in Natural. I love this pressed powder and I've been using it for years now because it helps control my oilyness and it hadn't given me any breakout since then. After the Powder I proceeded with the make up.
This is the first time I used a slanted brush and a black eyeshadow to create a wing effect as my liner. Actually, I'm not used to having a winged liner because I always don't get them look similar. White eyeshadow on the lids and brown eyeshadow on the crease using my Fashion21 eyeshadow brushes and that's it. These days I always use my HengFang Mascara, I love how it volumizes my lashes because I have very fine lashes. I wonder if it shows in the pictures but I did use a blush from Avon Smooth Minerals and highlighter from Miners. After that, I used red lipstick just to complete the look. Tell me how I did here? Ok lang ba? ;)

Beauty Products from Sellers ONLINE !!!

Lately I've been crazed about make up and I've been browsing a lot of online beauty shops where I can view different products and brands which are not usually available here in our country. Sometimes the brand is available in some malls but a certain product isn't and that's what online beauty shops are for. The BEST part of these shops is that sometimes they have lower prices, giveaways and even sales! Isn't that cool, great quality of great products for great prices?

Some of the online beauty sellers which has great deals are:
*Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals
(These are organic skin care products which your skin will thank you for using. These products are used by Ms. Say Tioco Artillero during a make over. They also got the Oil Eliminator which is the best seller as of NOW!)

*Make Up Hub by Naturele Collezione
(Some of her products are used by Ms. Say Tioco Artillero, I even bought a product from her. You can read it in this post.)

*Fabshopaholic
(Some of her products are used by blogger Celline of Product Arena and Eloisa of Kikay Si Maria)

*Le Faerie Cosmetics

*The Make Up Suite

*MakeupHOLICS

*Sweet & Sparkle

*Malditta Shopping Box

Anyway, moving on. Karen, a friend of mine is staring her own online beauty shop called The Sparkle House. Like the page and you'll be able to view some of the products she's selling. She said that she'll be having some beauty products at affordable prices. She's got EOS lip balm which has been a craze all over the world for its quality. And MAC body pigment which are highly pigmented is recommended for photos in which you'll appreciate eye make up in HD pictures. Here's a screen shot from her page.
These girls are not just sellers. They are so friendly that you can even ask them what is a good shade of foundation for you or what lipstick can will suit you dress for an occasion. Just contact them, they are always of help and they could be a great friend too! <3

"Mom please let me try a bit make up on you"

It's a monday and we don't have anything to do around here so I asked mom for like a thousand times if I could do her make up. I told her it would be so dramatic because she kept on refusing me. Maybe because whenever I do my make up even when I just stay at home, I go over the edge and look like I'm going to a costume party. Anyway what I just used are:
*ELF All over cover stick (face)
*Ever Bilena Advance Foundation Stick in Creme (face)
*Careline Pressed Powder in Natural (face)
*Avon Pink Blush (cheeks)
*Ever Bilena Precision Blender (eyebrows & eyes)
*Avon Simply Pretty in Lucky Orange

That's it, she won't let me do anything else. She even told me that when she wears lipstick, she doesn't swipe it like I did, she just dabs it on her lips. On her eyes, I have no idea what I'm going to do because she has hooded lids and whenever I tried to put on color it becomes hidden when she opens her eyes. She keeps saying "Tama na kaya, sobra na nilagay mo." (enough, you've already placed too much.) Which is I haven't even done so much on everything. I love you MAMY! Maybe next time you'll agree to what I'm going to do and stop asking me to stop. Here's the before and after, nothing much actually. ;P

ELF Eyelid Primer & Liner Sealer

This ELF (eyes lips face) product is just given to me by Abie, a friend of mine who is very good at doing make up. She says that she's not much into using eyeshadow so she won't be needing the primer so she gave it to me. The package comes with a stick primer and a slim brush tip on the other end. Here's how the package looks like.

I've been using the primer for quite a long time now and it hasn't failed me ever since. The primer is in natural color and the sealer is clear. Priming your eyelids before applying eyeshadow makes the color look more vibrant and lasts longer. I barely use the liner sealer because the liquid eyeliner I'm using has great staying power. But I use the liner sealer whenever I'm just using a pencil eyeliner because pencil liners tend to be easily smudged or erased because of my eyelids. I haven't seen this in any Watsons store selling ELF products for a while so maybe you'll have to order it online. Anyway, hope you'll also try this for longer lasting eyeshadow color. ;)

ELF: All over cover stick

Yup! We were at SM Megamall during labor day but it isn't until around 6pm that people started to crowd the place. Anyway, I would like to show my appreciation to the ELF (eyes lips face) all over cover stick because it did so good and feels light on the skin. We bought it at Watson thinking that it is 129pesos, but when we paid it it was just 116pesos. WOW! Three of us girls were shocked knowing that this is one of our chances to buy good make up product at a lower price.

The package looked so nice and very easy to use. You just had to remove the transparent cap and twist the bottom part like the way you do on a lipstick and the product comes out. It comes in 3 different colors, Apricot, Honey & Spiced. I took the Honey because it suits my skin color when I swatched it.

I also tried it if it really does what it says, "all over cover." This is the before and after picture. On the before picture, I only had a moisturizer on. On the after, I had Elf all over cover stick set with a blush brush then just a translucent powder. I also did my brows and put on a red lipstick just to complete my look for today.

I just noticed that my dark under eye is lessened. My pore size is barely noticeable including some of my past acne marks and present red discoloration on my face. I love it. I would be using this under a foundation whenever I go out. I hope you'll also find this product. BTW, excuse the hair. I look like a wet rat here because I'm really excited to try out this product. ;)
